Ruthie Elaine Ross

Ruthie Elaine Ross, 68 of  Lake City, passed from this life Sunday at her residence.  She was born June  8, 1952 to Simpson Thomas Marshall and Alpha Mize Marshall in Mountain Home.  Ruthie was a bookkeeper and office manager at Baker Implement.  She has lived in the Lake City area since she was 4 years old and was a Southern Baptist.  Ruthie  loved to play softball and also loved to watch the Cardinals play.  Ruthie  also loved her church and family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Curtis and 2 brothers, Tommy and Larry Marshall.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Ross of the home; 2 brothers, Mickey Mashall (Patty) of Dixie and Jerry Marshall ( Kaye) of Whitehall; 4 sisters, Linda Sue Davis (Tommy) of  Jonesboro, Victoria Lawrence (Galen) of  Shugtown, Debra  Lynn Arnold (Tommy) of  Paragould and Kathy Hafer (Patrick) of Dixie.  Ruthie  is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be visitation Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Dixie Baptist Church from 1-2 pm.  Service will start at 2 pm with Jamey Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Lake City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Patrick Hafer, Galen Lawrence, Tommy Arnold,  Blake  Lawrence, Wesley Lawrence and Gavin Lampkin.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Mize and Jerry Marshall.

In accordance with Covid-19 regulations, masks will be worn and social distancing will be observed.
