Ruth Smithee

Ruth Smithee, 100, of Hardy, Arkansas died Friday April 23, 2010 at N.E.A. Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born in Flippin, Arkansas and had lived in Hardy for 14 years, moving there from Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Smithee, parents Joe and Edith Tolbert Ward, one daughter, Iva Smithee, one son Gary Smithee, two brothers and two sisters.

Survived by her 3 sons; J.W. Smithee of Sterling, Illinois, Joe Smithee of Jonesboro and Glen Smithee of Hardy, Arkansas.

Four daughters; Joyce Vaughn and Mildred Miller both of Jonesboro, Barbara Muller of Hardy and Wilma Fortson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday April 26, 2010 at Nettleton Cemetery with Jim Corter officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
