Ruth M. Kiser, 80, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Bono, Ruth lived most of her life in the Bono-Jonesboro area. She worked several years for Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Carson and Tinnie Lou Johnson Taylor; by 3 sisters: Pearlie Minton, Ila Mitchell and Mildred Veal; and by 1 brother: Loy Taylor.
Survivors include: Her husband of 62 years: Gene Kiser of the home;
1 Daughter: Shelia Kiser Butler of Trumann;
3 Sons: Gary Kiser of Hot Springs Village, Rodger Kiser of Jonesboro, and Mike Kiser of Nashville, Tennessee;
1 Sister: Letha Harris of Jonesboro;
3 Brothers: George Taylor, and Beachel Taylor, both of Jonesboro, and Douglas Taylor of Conroe, Texas;
13 Grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emmett McCrackin and Randy Lingenfelter officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 4-7, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
