Ruth Helen Holden

Ruth Helen Holden, 80, of Jonesboro passed from this life on May 2, 2021 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late John and Ruth Zechmeister on December 17, 1940. Ruth worked for NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital for 42 years before retiring on April 15, 2021. She loved shopping and traveling. Ruth loved her family and enjoyed her special trips with them to Canada, Minnesota, or whichever new location they would visit together. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her son, Brad Holden; and daughter, Ruth Helen “Tudy” Holden.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Holden of Jonesboro; daughter, Tracy Smothermon (Carey) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Brittney Holden, Sydney Smothermon, and Jackson Smothermon. Ruth also leaves behind two great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
