Ruth Hellen Grigsby

Ruth Hellen Grigsby, 92, of Jonesboro died on July 27, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center.  Ruth Hellen was born in Bono to Roy and Beatrice Forrester. She spent many decades as a teacher, retiring from Jonesboro Public Schools.  She also taught students in Walnut Ridge, Bay, and Egypt.  She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and a son, Roy Harrison Grigsby.

Survivors include a daughter, Jonelle Grigsby of Jonesboro; two sons, Rusty Grigsby of Jonesboro; Jared H. and wife Amy Grigsby of Roswell, Georgia; sister, Virginia Lindley of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Grigsby.

The family, trying to keep all friends and family safe during this time will have all private services.  These services will be under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home. Her pastor, Billy Vanderbilt will be officiating.
