Rusty Carson

Russell “Rusty” Carson, 54, of Jonesboro passed away on Friday, February 13, 2014 at his residence.

Rusty was born on March 9, 1960 in Jonesboro to Bill and Martha Wood Carson. He lived in Jonesboro and Little Rock throughout his life, and he was a honor graduate from Jonesboro High School class of 1978. After high school he attended Arkansas State University on scholarship where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. While attending Arkansas State University he was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. After college he went on to worked as an accountant for Colson Casters, LA Darling, and Thomas and Betts. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing poker, and he was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. The love and compassion he had for his family will be missed but never forgotten.

In addition to being survived by his parents he leaves behind a wife, Lisa Ainsworth Carson of Little Rock; one daughter, Madelyn Carson of Jonesboro; two brothers, Steve Carson (Carla) and Brad Carson (Rhonda Clifton) all of Jonesboro; four nephews and three nieces; and a host of other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be Sunday at 2pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Hal Hinckley officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Honorary pallbearers will be the Jonesboro High School class of 1978.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
