Russell Gene Moore

Russell Gene Moore 62, of Bono, was born on January 21, 1954. He went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Russell spent most of his life in Bono. He retired from Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc. after a loyal 39 years. Russell’s faith was important to him, and he served actively for many years at Cathedral Baptist Church. Recently, he became a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Anyone who knew him, realized his passion for animals, love of bluegrass and gospel music, but most of all the importance of spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Russell is preceded in death by his father, Billy Eugene Moore, and survived by his parents Doyle and June McGowan. He is also survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie Moore; his daughter Mika Pruett (Scott) of Jonesboro; his two sons Eric Moore (Cassie) and Cory Moore (Brandi) both of Paragould; and one brother Mark McGowan (Donna) of Whitehall. Other survivors include those of which he was so proud, his 5 grandchildren, Haley Welch, Lawson and Cooper Pruett, Zandir Moore, and Ella Claire Moore.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Welborn officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono. Active pallbearers will include: Bill Hutchison, Rick Summers, Macky Hufstedler, Rodney Hufstedler, Chris Taylor, Stan Eastin, Jimmy Martin, Rick Summers, Star Faulkner, and Scotty Keith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Coworkers and Friends from Hytrol Conveyor Co. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
