Rudy Underwood

Rudy Underwood, 76, of Jonesboro, died on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital. He has lived in Jonesboro for the past 10 years, moving here from Paragould. He was born in Paragould on January 31, 1948 to Wilson and Veda Underwood. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Marine Corp. He enjoyed working with computers and was writing a book. He bought and sold real estate properties as a hobby. He was also the owner and operator of a car dealership. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Sara Cole, of the home; sons, Shannon Underwood of Beech Groove, Arkansas; Ryan Underwood of Elm Springs, Arkansas; Courtney Garner of Paragould; Carson Underwood (Jenna) of Dallas, Texas; Tyson Underwood (Macy) of Jonesboro; step daughter, Sara Rachael Baker-Huynh (David) of Paragould; brother, Nickey Underwood of Texas; sister, Kay Odom of Paragould; and three grandchildren.
