Ruby N. Richardson

Ruby O’Neal Richardson, 92 of Jonesboro passed away Friday October 14, 2011. She was born March 16, 1919 to John and Elizabeth Goatcher of Tuckerman.

Ruby was a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church. She was deeply devoted to studying God’s word.

She was a secretary of Fidelis II Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed singing gospel songs and singing in the church’s senior adult choir was a delight. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Jonesboro.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Goatcher, sisters, Bernice Guffey and Jackie Lancaster.

Survived by her husband Albert Richardson of the home.

Four sons, Dwayne Richardson of Jonesboro; Thomas and wife Tina of Modesto, California; James and wife Tricia of Tupelo, Mississippi; and Bruce Richardson of Little Rock.

Seven grandchildren and ten great -great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 18, at the Nettleton Baptist Church, with Revs. Stan Ballard and Harold Ray officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Richardson, Thomas Richardson, James Richardson, Bruce Richardson, Paul Harrison and Shawn Richardson.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Monday Oct 17, at Emerson Funeral Home.
