Ruby Miller

Ruby Miller, 96, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Ridgecrest Nursing Center. She was a homemaker and was retired from Frolic Footwear. Her grandfather, John Weaver, was an early settler of Craighead County, coming here in 1844. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amanda White; her husband, Hebren Miller; a daughter, Doris Flowers; and two sisters, Effie Nichols and Esta Ragsdale.

Survivors include two sons, Dale and his wife Mary and Joe Miller and his wife Fredia; one daughter, Stanley Ruth Brown and her husband Wilbur; and one son-in-law, Bill Flowers; eight grandchildren, Ken Miller, James Dean Fletcher, Carla McKinney, Greg Fletcher, Mike Miller, Karen Speaks, Tracy Miller and Craig Miller; 14 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Rutherford Cemetery with Gene Wood officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
