Ruby Carolyn Johnston

Ruby Johnston, 72 of Jonesboro, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at her home. She was born in Etowah, Arkansas and lived all of her life in Northeast Arkansas. She was of the Baptist belief. Ruby enjoyed gardening and watching birds as they visited her home. She was all about her family; especially her grandbabies and her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and one brother, Robert Edward Lawrence.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Sammy Johnston, of the home; son, Richard Johnston (Terri); daughter, Tonda Baxter (Keith) all of Jonesboro; brothers, Johnny Lawrence of Paragould and Tommy Lawrence of Black Rock; grandchildren, Nick Johnston, Bailey Hufstedler, Presley Johnston and Hunter Johnston; great grandchildren, Haven Downs and Peyton Johnston.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will be private.
