Ruby Ann Hinson

Ruby Ann Hinson, 83 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Friday, October 7, 2022 at NEA Baptist Medical Center.  She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas October 8, 1938 to Leslie and Pauline Yeates Etter.  Ruby was a school teacher for Jonesboro Public Schools and a member of North Main Baptist Church.  Ruby loved church, enjoyed being with her friends and was a frequent Walmart shopper, active with Tops weight loss system.  She loved sports and traveling.  She didn’t miss the Friday night lights when her kids were playing sports. And she played cards the first of every month with her card club.  Ruby is preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include: Ruby’s loving husband of 65 years, Larry Hinson of the home; sons, Steve (Tonya) Hinson of Jonesboro, Keith (Penny) Hinson of Vilonia, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Hall of Jonesboro; brothers, Gary (Emily) Etter, Bob (Darlene) Etter, Mike (Linda) Etter, Bill (Sarita) Etter, all of Jonesboro; sisters, Sharon Goodman of Jonesboro, Rhonda Clairday of Jonesboro and Karen Nicholson of  Mountain Home; grandchildren, Brandon Hall, Jared Hall, Cheyenne Robertson, Gus Hinson, Rachel Tufu, Luke Hinson and Denver Hinson; great grandchild Henley Hall.

Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2022 from 5-7 PM at North Main Baptist Church.  Service will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at North Main Baptist Church with Jared McGrew, Tommy Stacey and Gary Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Long Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Hall, Brandon Hall, Gus Hinson, Luke Hinson, Denver Hinson, Lyndon Hall and Bobby Phillips.
