Ruby J. Davis

Ruby J. Davis, 85, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home. She was born February 13, 1931 to Vernon and Gertha M. Mabry Oden. Although she was born in Trumann she lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area. In addition to being a wonderful loving mother to her own children, she was a caring mother to many others as a babysitter and a foster parent. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Berlin O. Weston, a son-in-law, Gene Gregory and three brothers, Corky Oden, Alfred Oden and Willie Oden.

Ruby is survived by three daughters, Brenda Gregory and Donna Fulbright, both of Jonesboro and Barbara Rogers of Osceola; three sons, Donnie Weston, Troy Davis and Raymond Dale Davis (Linda) all of Jonesboro. She is also survived by three sisters; Mildred Weston, Margaret Lovins (Bobby) and Shirley Curtis (Sam) all of Jonesboro; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Shiloh United Methodist Church on Highway 141 in Jonesboro with Reverend Everett Blakely officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery with Tim Gregory, Jamie Rogers, Anthony Oden, Lannie Weston, Cody Bounds and Troy Davis serving as pallbearers.
