Roy Clyde Ragan Sr.

Roy Clyde Ragan Sr., 80, of Marion, passed from this life on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on July 24, 1945, in Wynne, Arkansas, to the late Percy and Pallie Ragan.

Roy was a member of West Memphis Church of God and loved to talk about the Bible. In his younger years, he farmed before becoming a truck driver, traveling all over the country. A hard worker, Roy took great pride in his work and was known for keeping the chrome on his truck gleaming—often enlisting his boys to help with the polishing.

He enjoyed tending to his yard and garden, keeping them both beautiful and bountiful. Roy also loved telling stories, providing for others, and lending a helping hand whenever he could.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deb Ragan; son, Roy Ragan Jr.; and siblings, Frances, Bob, and Dora Jean.

Roy is survived by his sons, Scott Ragan (Melanie) of Gay Mills, Wisconsin, Lane Ragan, Al Miller (Amanda) of Marion, Arkansas, and Bryan Miller (Brittany) of Jonesboro; brother, Bill Ragan (Charlene) of Wynne; grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne (Alina), Timmy, Krissy (Jacob), Dusty, Nathan, Jonathan (Marisol), Bella, Conner, Dakota, Kyland, and Grayson; and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Cameron, Sadie, Judy, Avery, Raylan, and Ivy.

Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home.
