Roy Lee Walker, 68 of Jonesboro, died Sunday August 31, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Paragould, and had lived in Jonesboro for twenty years, moving here from Paragould. He was a retired brick mason for twenty three years and was working as a custodian for the Jonesboro Public School for fourteen years. He was of the non demo national belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Rachel Kee Walker, and one stepson V. Wayne Free.
He is survived by his loving wife; Barbara Walker of the home.
Two daughters; Katherin Spargo and husband Joey of Hoxie, and Barbara Mahan and husband Shawn of Jonesboro.
Two brothers; Jerry Walker of Jonesboro and Willie Walker of Paragould.
One sister; Ola Mosby of Paragould.
Five grandchildren; Crystal Davis, Ray Shelton, Mary Parks, Joe Spargo and Maverick Parks. One great grandson; Kenneth Davis.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 2, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Reverends Marvin Cline, Butch Parks, and Ray Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Mt.Zion Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Will Walker, Paul Parks, Shawn Mahan, Mike Kee and Joey Spargo.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time Tuesday September 2, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
