Roy Dale Davis, 45, of Jonesboro, died Thursday in Jonesboro from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident in south Jonesboro.
Born in Elgin, Illinois, Mr. Davis lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He was self-employed and was of the Baptist belief. He was a 1980 graduate of Nettleton High School and was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Davis, and his mother, Shirley Trammell Davis.
Survivors include:
1 Daughter: Heather Davis of Jonesboro;
1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Brandon and Cynthia Davis of Jonesboro;
His Father: Roy Lee Davis of Fitzgerald Crossing;
3 Sisters: Debbie Stegall of Charlotte, North Carolina, and
Vickie Emerson, and
Shelia Throgmartin, both of Jonesboro; and
1 Grandson: Evan Dale Davis of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Charlie Emerson, Kenny Throgmartin, Chris Mitchell,
Brandon Davis, Lanny Dooley and Tim Smith.
Honorary pallbearers include: Jessie Groves, Lester Groves, Wes Ferguson and Aaron Stegall.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
