Roy Baker

Roy Baker, 76 of Lake City, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Lake Side Nursing Center. He had lived in Lake City for the past 17 years, moving there from Jonesboro. He was a member of the Lake City Assembly of God Church and a member of the American Bluegrass Association. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War and a Craighead County Deputy Sheriff for 27 years. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and one sister.

Roy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rachel Baker, of the home; two daughters, Debra Olive, Lake City; and Sandra Wheeley and husband Buddy, Jonesboro; three brothers, seven sisters, one granddaughter and three grandsons.
