Roy "Ronnie" Allred

Roy “Ronnie” Allred, 66, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He had lived in Jonesboro for 36 years. Ronnie was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He worked tirelessly on Arkansas Angels for Animals. He loved golf, yard work, and spending time with his family, especially grandkids and great grandkids. He had been very active in the moving business. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Travis Michael Allred; and a granddaughter, Sydnee Ann Allred.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sharon Allred of the home; sons, John Davis (Sheila) ; Rick Davis (Rita Gail) of Jonesboro; Chuck Allred (Tanya); Chris Allred (Penni) of Byhalia, Mississippi; daughter, Kathryn Allred of Jonesboro; brothers, Caris Allred of Tupelo, Mississippi; Troy Allred of Sardis, Mississippi; sisters, Barbara Potts of Batesville, Mississippi; Peggy Barber of Senatobia, Mississippi; Patsy Turner; Judy Parker of Leland, Mississippi; Deniece Glover of Red Bay, Alabama; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Monday, May, 23, 2016 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Shewmaker officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Anthony Allred, Blake Holt, Damon Davis, Todd Turner, Chip Allred and Jammey Dorton serving as pallbearers. An honorary pallbearer is Randy Branch. Visitation will be from 3-5 Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
