Rosemary Throgmartin, 71, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at her home. She was born in Moro, Arkansas on December 31, 1951 to the late Troy and Mamie Stacks. Rosemary dedicated her life to being a teacher and teaching was truly her passion. She spent most of her teaching career at Jonesboro Public Schools. After retirement, Rosemary worked as a substitute teacher for Nettleton School before having to quit due to illness.
In her younger years, Rosemary enjoyed fishing and raising her family. She was a people person and loved to interact and visit with friends and family. Rosemary enjoyed reading, flowers (roses), traveling, and spending time with her great grandsons and the love of her life, Paul Throgmartin.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by her son, Scott Throgmartin; sisters, Ruby Corn, Betty Sartin, and Vivian Guideman; and brothers, Glen Stacks and Charles Stacks.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Throgmartin of the home; daughter, Angela Montgomery (Jerry) of Jonesboro; sisters, Verneal Montgomery of Jonesboro, Troyce Morgan of Moro, Arkansas, and Lynda Amos of Marianna; grandchildren, Brett Montgomery of Jonesboro, Amanda Hanners (Andrew) of Jonesboro, Amber Wilson (Tyler) of Jonesboro, and Ashley Guerber (Thomas) of Bono; and great grandchildren, Tyler Hanners, Kasen Hanners, Hunter Hanners, Laney Wilson, Maverick Wilson, and Sydney Guber.
The visitation will be held from 1-2 prior to the service on Saturday.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home with Terry Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with the pallbearers Jerry Montgomery, Brett Montgomery, Andrew Hanners, Danny Throgmartin, David Throgmartin, and Terry Throgmartin.
