Rosemary Manthey

Rosemary Manthey, 78, of Jonesboro died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at her home. She moved to Jonesboro in 1971 from Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was a member of North Main Baptist Church and worked for the Follow Through Program at Jonesboro Public Schools and worked in Food Services at St. Bernard's Medical Center and the Jonesboro Public School System.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Omes Halcom andHarold Manthey; one son, Mark Halcom; and one grandson, Randy Moore.

She is survived by one son, Scott Manthey, Jonesboro; three daughters, Kathy Barnett, Jonesboro; Lisa Watkins and husband Morris from Cash, Arkansas; and Joyce Silverest and husband Tom of Michigan; grandchildren, Keri Anderson-Swan, Monica Barnett-Crow, Rebecca Barnett, Jami Williams-Veal, Kelli Halcom-McGhee, Eric Watkins, Andy Watkins, Chris Moore, Kelley Moore, and Charisse Moore-Wood; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Gary Brown officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Eric Watkins, Morris Watkins, Andy Watkins, Marty McGinnis, Greg West, and Tony Sterling with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
