Rose Lynn Wakefoose

May 19, 1937 — May 9, 2024

Rose Lynn Wakefoose, of Jonesboro, departed this life on May 9, 2024, at the age of 86 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on May 19, 1937 in Elgin, Arkansas to the late Edgar and Lizzy Stoner.

Throughout her lifetime, Rose called Jonesboro her home, where she made countless memories and touched the lives of those around her. She was a devout follower of the Jehovah's Witness faith and found solace and community at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jonesboro. Rose found happiness in the little things, whether it was watching birds flutter in the sky, indulging her beloved cats with treats and affection, or eagerly tuning in to watch "Heartland" on TV. She found peace in nature, often taking leisurely walks to enjoy the beauty of the world around her. However, above all else, Rose’s heart belonged to her family. She treasured the moments spent with her loved ones and made it a priority to visit them whenever she could. Her unwavering love and devotion were evident in every gesture and conversation, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two children, Theresea Walker and Charles Edward Gibson, and her six siblings.

Rose is survived by her loving husband Harry Wakefoose of the home; her children, Debbie James, Terri (Thomas) Naney, and Dianna Sherman; her grandchildren, Paul (Yadira) Owens, James (Melissa) Owens, Stephanie (Antonio) Perez, Crystal (Zach) Williams, Sarah Gibson, Christopher (Jodi) Lawrence, Johnathan (Megan) James, Dana Ramirez, Angela (Jonathan) Knight, John Wesley Hogue, Roxanne (Roger) Jay, and Jason Hogue; she is also survived by many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
