Ronnie Lee Reams

Ronnie Lee Reams, 81, of Dexter, Missouri passed from this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was born to the late Emmett and Mattie Reams on April 22, 1942 in Union City, Tennessee. Ronnie attended Arkansas State University for his Pre-pharmacy classes before graduating in 1966 from the University Of Arkansas School Of Pharmacy in Little Rock. He was a pharmacist and co-owner of Overturf Pharmacy (with partners Joe Mosley and Tom Burris) in the Southeast Missouri area for over 50 years. In his free time, Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Reams.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jacquline Bunch Reams of Dexter, Missouri; son, Lee Reams of Jonesboro; daughter, Staci Smart (Ken) of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Melba Walker and Nina Blades;  and grandchildren, John Couvillion (Courtney) and Jackson Couvillion. He also leaves behind a host of other family and friends to mourn his loss.

The visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 1-2 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home with Mrs. Maurine Freeze officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
