Ronnie Earl Freeman

Ronnie Earl Freeman, 80, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at St. Bernard Medical Center.  He lived most of his life in Jonesboro.  He was a born again Christian and was very firm in his religious beliefs.  He was born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico on October 19, 1943, to Earl and Alpha Freeman.  He served his country in the US Air force during the Vietnam era.  Ronnie retired after 30 years from H & H Industries, which was owned by Bill Hurt Sr. and Bill Hurt Jr.  His hobbies were hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  But, according to his family, his hands were never idle.  They said he was a work-a-holic and took on multiple projects at the same time.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Cecil and Pearl Johnson; brother, Robbie Freeman; great grandson, Asher Dylan Bosze.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years and 10 months, Wilma of the home; son, Todd Freeman and wife, Kristin; daughter Autumn Baker and husband Shane; sister, Reta Daugherty, all of Jonesboro; Ranae Kitchens of Paragould; Lana Johnson of Jonesboro; Shelly Dent of Greenbriar, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Nettleton Cemetery with Kevin Barnett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and his family will serve as pallbearers.  All other services are private.
