Roney Darius Webb, 35, of Jonesboro passed from this life on April 27, 2016. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 3, 1980 to Rubetta Webb who preceded him in death.
He attended James Hart School and graduated from there to Homewood Flossmore High School. Roney received a certification of recognition in the Participation and Leadership in the interest and study of African History and Cultures. He loved Hip Hop music, basketball, and he joined the wrestling team. He held his own in everything that he liked to be a part of.
He met and married, Melinda Dudley, they had three sons and moved to Jonesboro. After a few years they parted and he later met Shanequa Anderson and she bore him a daughter, Raleigh.
Roney leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his grandparents, Rubin and Charlesetta Webb; sons, Roney D. Webb, Rommell Webb, and Raquan Webb; his precious 2 month old daughter, Raleigh; father, Rodrick Briggs (Toni) of Clinton, Mississippi. He also leaves behind three sisters, Tia Briggs, Roniesha Webb, and Rhonda Webb; three brothers, Rodrick D. Briggs, Ryan Webb, and Rashon Webb; his loving aunts, Gwen DeGraffenreid (Sanders) of Chicago, Brenda Webb of Chicago, Wenda Stapleton (Lee) of Chicago, Carla Hall of Houston, Michelle Cole of Memphis, and Valencia Jones of Memphis; uncle, Daryle Briggs of Texas. Roney was also blessed with a host of friends and Family. He will be greatly missed by cousins, Margaret Jean of Jonesboro, Tiffany of Chicago, Kim, and Joey; and friends, Ja Ja of Chicago, James from Chicago, Jeff from Chicago, Trez from Jonesboro, and Joe of Jonesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
