Ronda Winstead

Ronda Winstead, 69, of Jonesboro, passed away on May 30, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Idaho Falls, ID, on January 23, 1955, to the late Ronald and Gwen Benson. In addition to her parents, Ronda is preceded in death by two sisters, Vicky Martin and Susan Smith; two brothers, Michael and David Benson; and a stepson, Richard Winstead.

Ronda and her husband, David, moved around the country over several years, ultimately choosing Jonesboro as their place of retirement. Because of that, Ronda was no stranger to traveling. Apart from finding different areas to call home, she and her husband loved visiting other places and seeing sights. However, Ronda’s favorite place to visit was Montana. The vast beauty and gorgeous scenery always captivated her. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Outside of traveling and the church, Ronda stayed occupied with her home business. A long-time quilter and crafter, she evolved into mixed media art, where she loved to combine textures and various art mediums: fabrics, papers, embellishments, paints, metals, fibers, etc. Ronda especially loved combining fabrics, lace, and papers for journals and collages! She used YouTube to showcase her skills and abilities to help others with the same crafting passion. Ronda also had an Etsy shop where people could purchase her artistic creations. She was a kind, caring person who will missed by her family, friends, and followers.

Ronda is survived by her husband of 35 and a half years, David Winstead of Jonesboro; sons, Rex Lance Rich (Amy) of Rockhill, SC, Ronald Lamont Rich (Marlay) of Jonesboro, Daniel Ray Parker (Jessica) of Tulsa, OK, and David Andrew Winstead of Kyle, TX; daughter, Mandy Zollinger (Richard) of Lincoln, IL; step-daughter, Sara Lockwood (Fred) of Prescott, AZ; brother, Steven Benson (Elisabeth) of St. George, UT; and 15 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
