Ronald Ray "Ronnie" Robinson, 72, of rural southeast Lawrence County, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at his home of natural causes.
Ronnie was born in Jonesboro and was a 1961 graduate of Jonesboro High School. He lived in Jonesboro before moving to Lawrence County 30 years ago, and served in the Arkansas National Guard.
Ronnie worked several years as a factory mechanic for ADT in Jonesboro before it relocated. For several years, Ronnie operated a garage where he was a mechanic working primarily on motorcycles and ATVs. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and having his family and friends at his home or garage for entertainment. Ronnie also enjoyed working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Inez Campbell Robinson, and by a sister, Annette Wells.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Vickie Pierce Robinson, married June 18, 1977, of the home;
1 son, Jeremy (Stephanie) Robinson of Judsonia;
2 daughters: Rhonda (Leo) Hennessey of Villa Hills, Kentucky, and
Courtney Robinson of Bono;
2 brothers: Kenny Robinson of Wichita, Kansas, and
Doug Robinson of Memphis;
3 sisters: Sharon (Tuffy) Rainwater of Jonesboro,
Sue (John) Howard of Bono, and Becky (Lloyd, Jr.) McCracken of Paragould; and
5 grandchildren: Patrick, Ashley, Sean and Alyssa Hennessey and Sawyer Robinson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Emerson Funeral Home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Markham Cemetery near Egypt with John Compere officiating.
