Ronald "Ronnie" Dean May

Ronald "Ronnie" Dean May, 68, of Jonesboro went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 20, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House with his loving wife by his side.

He was born to the late Marlin Millard and Pauline May on August 1, 1945 in Jonesboro. He resided in Harrisburg until the 1950s before the family moved to Chicago, IL. He graduated from Morton East High School in Chicago, and he later returned to live in Jonesboro. After moving back to Jonesboro he met the love of his life Pamela Jean, and they were married on June 28, 2010. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Marlin Gerald May.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Pamela May of the home; sister-in-law, Natalie May of Westmount IL; nephews, Dave (Kate) May of Chicago, Donald (Kim) May and great nephew, Devin May all of Westmount, IL; mother-in-law, Kathleen White of Cape Coral, FL; other family members he is survived by are Andrew Shearman, Heather Combs, Knighten and Jennifer Reed; special friends, Larry Cook, Jeff, Sue, and Justin Sellers, and Greg, Faith, and Andis Reeves all of Jonesboro; and his faithful furry companion, Oakley.

The family will receive friends in the First United Methodist Church Atrium from 2p.m. until service time on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held in the First United Methodist Church Chapel at 3p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 with Rev. Patty Soward and Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family request that you donate to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews Ave. Jonesboro, AR 72401, in loving memory of Ronald May.
