Ronald Dean Rickard

Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Rickard 66 of Jonesboro, passed from this life into Heaven on February 27, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born April 26, 1956 in Kennett Mo. to Cecil Rickard and Captola Holifield. He was a 1975 graduate of Lake City High School. Ronnie was a former employee of FMC in Jonesboro and worked the last 19 years at the American Commercial Barge Line on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.

He served his country for 12 years full time in the Arkansas National Guard stationed in Jacksonville and achieved the rank of Sgt. E5.

He was preceded in death by his mother Captola McMillin, a brother Monte Ray Rickard, Step mother Madean Rickard and nephew Jeremy Rickard.

He is survived by his wife Erica Rickard of Newport, one son Lance Rickard (Lisa) of Groveland, MA. daughter Brooke Rickard of Hamilton, MA, Father Cecil Rickard (Jean) of Benton, step father Stan McMillin(Jerri) of Jonesboro, twin brother Donnie Rickard (Sherry)

Brother, Jeff McMillin(Donna) both of Jonesboro

Sister Kristy Cordell(Joel) of Benton, two step sisters Cindy Crawley of Bryant and Melinda Murtha of Conway. 2 grand children Ryleigh Rickard and Brock McDonald Both of MA. and friend and caregiver Mike Barnes of Jonesboro.

A celebration of his life will be Friday, March 3rd at 10:00 am at Emerson funeral home chapel. With Rev Randy Britton officiating.  At the families' request his body will be given as an anatomical gift to the Genesis Medical Education and Research Institute.
