Ronald Martin, 82, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Edmund and Phyllis Martin. Ronald live in the Massachusetts area until he moved to Jonesboro in 1977. He worked in the printing industry most of his life. He worked for the Colonial Press for 15 years in Massachusetts. When he moved to Jonesboro he worked for W.A. Krueger and it later became Ringier America for 19 years.
Ronald was an avid stamp collector and he loved the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, especially his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Cobb.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Loris Martin of the home; son, Steven (Robin) Martin of Jonesboro; daughter, Shelley (Sammy Fowler) Buhrmester of Scottsville, Kentucky; sister, Carol MacGray of North Port, Florida; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Emerson Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Jerry Parker and Larry Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
