Ronald Holt

James Ronald Holt, 64, of Jonesboro, died peacefully at his home Saturday, October 9, 2010.

Ronnie was born February 15, 1946, in Jonesboro and was preceded in death by his parents, William Rex Holt, Sr. and Vonda Marie Holt.

Survivors include his sons, Clay Holt and wife Julie of Springfield, Missouri, Ryan Holt of Jonesboro, and their mother, Judith Taylor of Jonesboro. Ronnie is also survived by his brother, William Rex Holt of Newbury Park, California, and two sisters, Pamla Marie Bernheisel of Merced, California, and Melody Bell Rawlins of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Addison Marie Holt, Drew Garrett Holt, Gracie Elizabeth Holt and Luke Clayton Holt.

Ronnie grew up in Bay, graduating from Bay High School in 1964. He worked for the Merchant Marines and was a distributor for Old Country Bakery in Los Angeles. He recently moved back to Jonesboro and enjoyed being back home with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, October 15, 2010, at 3:00 in Bay United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
