Ron Billingsley

Ronald "Ron" Lloyd Billingsley, 64, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, May 19, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1960, in Olathe, Kansas, to the late Ronald Loyce and Bertha Mae Billingsley.

Ron dedicated much of his life to serving others. He earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arkansas State University while working as a firefighter with the Jonesboro Fire Department. He proudly served the department until his retirement in 1998. Even after retiring, he remained active, working part-time at Sam’s Club and continuing to make a positive impact on those around him.

Ron was happiest outdoors and took great pride in his farm in Ash Flat, where he raised cattle and was preparing to become a beekeeper—an endeavor he was especially excited about. He loved road trips, grilling, horses, and spending quality time with family. Music was always playing in the background while he cooked, and his kitchen often echoed with the sounds of his favorite songs. Most of all, Ron adored his grandchildren and never missed a chance to support them at their events or spoil them with love and laughter. Ron was a devoted Bigfoot enthusiast who never gave up hope of one day spotting the elusive creature

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Lynn Billingsley and Mark Anthony Billingsley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Patty Billingsley of Jonesboro; daughters, Amanda Hall (Joey) of Salem, Brooke Proctor (Justin) of Plainfield, Indiana, and Crista Farmer (Josh) of Paragould; sisters, Saundria Ash of Conway and Cindy Weaver (Tim) of Melbourne; grandchildren, Dagni Reynolds (Dylan), Greenly Hall, Ava Hall, Claire Proctor, Allison Farmer, Lillian Farmer, and one more expected soon; and one great-granddaughter, Demi Reynolds.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Terry Yancey. Burial will be private. The honorary pallbeaers are Joey Hall, Justin Proctor, Josh Farmer, Chris Mackey, Garry Peppers, Tim Weaver, Adam Jones, Jordan Ash, Nick Ash, Paul Billingsley,  Robert Lilly,  Jeremy Kennedy, Clint Ray, All Retired JFD Firefighters.

Ron leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and dedication to family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
