Romona Jacqueline Russell (Jackie) of Bono passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 89 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1937, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Pauline Blansett.

After living in Jonesboro most of her life, Jackie has enjoyed her home in Bono, where she grew flowers, tended her garden, took care of her neighbors, and became a beloved member of her community for the last 20 years. Anyone who met Jackie became her friend. She had a way of making each individual feel loved, welcomed, and a part of her large circle of friends and family. Jackie was full of joy and shared it with everyone. She lived 89 wonderful years, working right up to three weeks before passing. She taught her loved ones how to love, forgive, be a good friend or neighbor, and worship our Lord Savior. Overall, those who shared life with her became better people. Jackie devoted her life to her family, friends, and her faith, raising her six children with love and patience along with her many grandchildren. She attended church at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn, where she loved worshiping with pastor and friend, Byron Griffey.

Jackie is survived by her children: Frank Russell (Vickie), Ronny Russell (Cheryl); Allan Russell (Lisa); Beverly Russell; Steve Russell; and Rita Norman (Robert). Her grandchildren: Shane Russell, Kristy Russell,

Ambrea McGarity, Hunter Russell, Derek Russell, Aaron Russell, Stacy Hargrove, Ross Lefebvre, Shaina Davis, Brittany Criss, Blake Norman. Jackie has 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are: Carroll Blansett, (Linda) of Black Oak; Grace Hall (Rollie) of Wynne; Otis Blansett (Jeannie ) of Widner; Ricky Blansett; (Angie) of Henderson

Linda (Pete) of Mammoth Springs;and many nieces, nephews, and foster kids.

Preceding in death are: her husband, Donald Russell of Jonesboro; Mother, Smilly Pauline Blansett of Osceola; Uncle, Norman Williams (Thelma) of Jonesboro; Siblings: Joe Blansett (Mary) of Tyronza; Jimmy Blansett (Verde)of Tyronza; Linda Blansett (Carol) of Black Rock; Father, Raymond Rounsaville of Keiser. Grandson, Cody Rush of Sedgwick.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Russell officiating. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00-2:00.

Pallbearers are Shane Russell, Hunter Russell, Derek Russell, Aaron Russell, Brittany Criss, Caleb Hargrove, Dylan Russell. Honorary pallbearers are the remaining great grandsons.
