Roberta Maye Sutton Branscum

Roberta Maye Sutton Branscum, 82 of Jonesboro, died Friday, April 17 at her home.  She was a beloved Christian lady, homemaker and childcare provider for many years.  Her church family at Valley View Church of Christ was like her extended family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Rosielea Sutton; husband, Howard Lee Branscum; one sister, Frances Ann Barham; two brothers, JW Sutton and Lyndall Howard Sutton; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Branscum.

Survivors include her son, Trent Lee Branscum of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jerry Dean Sutton of Mountain View; James Edward Sutton Jr. of Salem; two sisters, Dorothy Belle Craig and Maleta Marjeta Brown of Mountain View; one grandson, three great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and beloved friends.

Graveside serices will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Timbo Cemetery in Timbo, near Mountain View with Spencer Furby officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers are John Barham, Bryan Craig, Mike Branscum, Ryan Richardson, Gerald Sutton and Jerod Barham.  Visitation will be from 9:00 -11:00 at Emerson Funeral Home with all mandated practices concerning the COVID19 Virus will be observed, limiting the persons to 10 at a time.
