Robert William "Bobby" Hanley, 33, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Robert was a native and life-long resident of Jonesboro. He was a 2001 graduate of Jonesboro High School and enjoyed attending classes at TLC and competing in the Special Olympics while growing up. Robert loved his friends and family. He was an avid Wrestling fan and enjoyed watching the matches on television. His favorite wrestler was John Cena. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his late father especially watching movies together.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Frank Hanley, a sister, Diana Hanley and a brother, Chris Hanley.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Carolyn S. and Steven Grandstaff of the home;
4 brothers: Philip Hanley and David Hanley, both of Jonesboro, Buddy Hanley of Minnesota and Tim Hanley of Virginia;
3 sisters: Anastacia Hanley of Tennessee, Monica Hasenfus of Georgia and Michelle Parker of Iowa; and
her maternal grandmother, Mary Jarrett Edwards of Jonesboro.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Randy Page officiating. Burial will be private.
Pallbearers include Philip Hanley, Brandon Bryant, Jerry Franklin, Chris Robbins, Ray Guthrie and Andrew Reeves. Honorary pallbearers include Anastacia Hanley, Christine Hampton and Steven Smith.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
