Robert Thomas Perrin, 94, of Trumann, died Sunday morning at Trumann Health & Rehab. He was born in Berry Kentucky. Early in his life he owned a construction company and farmed in Kentucky. He then worked for and retired from Little Rock Road Machinery Company. He sold construction equipment throughout northeast Arkansas. He was raised in and attended the Baptist church throughout his life. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He came from a very creative and ambitious family and, as the oldest of 15 children, he carried out this trait very well. He enjoyed building and was always busy. After retirement, he spent winters in Florida and summers in North Carolina.
He is survived by his daughters, Jane B. Herron of Lakeside Park, KY, Charlotte T. Perrin, Trumann; brothers, Harold Perrin, Herbert Perrin, Mac Perrin, Jr., Edward Paul Perrin, Jack Perrin; sisters, Marjorie Newkirk, Dorothy True, Ruby King, Ann Foster; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac K. & Stella Perrin; brothers, Howard Perrin, Bennett Perrin, Carlos Perrin; and sisters, Patty Gail Perrin and Ruth Perrin.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that lasting memorials be made to Forest Home Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 1922 Race Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401.
