Robert S. Thomas, 67, of Paragould formerly of Caraway died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Robert was born on October 30, 1946 in Caraway to the late Rudy and Mildred Davault Thomas.
He lived most of his life in the Caraway area before moving to Paragould in 2011. He retired from the Craighead County Coop now known as the Sanders Service Inc. in 2012, where he was a fuel truck driver. He was of the Baptist belief, and over the past several years he spent a lot of his spare time studying his Bible. He loved to ride his motorcycles, and spend time with his adopted family. His humor and friendship will be missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, David Thomas.
He is survived by his adopted family and close friends, Marvin White (Denise) of Trumann; four adopted nieces and nephews, Tarah Hervey (Robert) of Harrisburg, James White (Tamarra) of Millington, TN, Angel White of Lake City, and Audrey Winberry (Landon) of Paragould; and nine adopted grandchildren; one nephew, Justin Thomas (Anne) of Fort Smith; two nieces, Jennifer Etten (Rusty) of Ketchikan, Alaska and Brooke Thomas of Jonesboro.
A graveside service will be at 11:00am Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Philadelphia Cemetery with Jerry Hayes officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in Charge of all arrangements.
