Robert Riley Peevey, 43, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his home. He was born to Robert Paul and Karen Peevey September 11, 1972 in Little Rock. Robert has lived here in Jonesboro since 1977 after coming from Little Rock. He was a 1990 Jonesboro High school graduate and played baseball and he also golfed. Robert also played baseball for the University of Tennessee-Martin. He was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and also enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts. He has been in law enforcement for over 18 years and was an active Sergeant with the Arkansas State University Police Department. He was a wonderful father, son, and husband most of all he loved his son very much. Robert was such a family man and was all around good man and will be missed dearly.
Robert is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents: Riley (Ann) Coffey and Paul (Clydella) Peevey.
He was survived in by his wife of 24 years, Stephanie Peevey of the home; parents: Robert (Karen) Peevey of Jonesboro; son: Robert Rex Peevey of Jonesboro; sister: Tracy (Heath) Roberts and their children: Gabe, Reid, and Cooper Roberts all of Jonesboro.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Mitch Ford Officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Arkansas State University Police Department.
Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.
