Obituary

Robert James Liepe, 60, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday June 12, 2026 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1966 in Douglas, Michigan to James and Kay Liepe.

Robert has lived in Jonesboro since 1993, after moving from Fennville, Michigan. He was a member of The Church of God in Paragould and was licensed as a minister in The Church of God since May of 1996.

He graduated from Fennville High School in 1984 and attended Western Michigan University. Robert has worked for Roach Manufacturing in Trumann since March 1994.

An avid runner, Robert competed in cross country during high school and earned numerous medals. He had a deep love for Christ and his church and was devoted to his family. Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, James Liepe; grandmother, May Winne and grandfathers, Earl Winne and Jack Liepe.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Liepe, of the home; daughter, Sara (Daniel) Doerfler of De Soto, Missouri; mother, Kay (Rich) Kool of Fennville, Michigan; stepmother, Dian Liepe of Pullman, Michigan; brothers, Mark (Wendy) Liepe of Rome City, Indiana and Jonathan (Jeanne) Liepe of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Cari (Roger) Lucas of West Union, West Virginia, Heather (David) Hitchcock of Allegan, Michigan and Rhea (Keith) Kamekona of Fennville, Michigan; granddaughter, Lily Doerfler and a grandmother, Frances Liepe of Douglas, Michigan.

A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Michael Jernigan and Bro. Jesse Allen Dollars officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Greg Whitlock, Bro. Jesse Allen Dollars, Daniel Doerfler, Mark Liepe, Jonathan Liepe, and Austin Liepe.
