Robert Lee Hall, 77, of Jonesboro passed away June28, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Askew, Mississippi on June 26, 1939 to the late W.J. “Jeter” and Louise Lackey Hall.

Robert lived in Jonesboro for most of his life while also being of Baptist belief. He was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight. He enjoyed going to his place at the lake, working on the farm with his nephew Terry Hall and his brother Russell Hall.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his son: Chuck Hall; great-grandson: Noah Cook; sister: Vera Ray; and brother: Dale Hall.

Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnie Newcom Hall, of the home; daughter Cherri(Rick) Martin; son: Robbie(Debby) Hall; sister: Patricia(Gary) Dailey; Brothers: Larry(Alice) Hall and Russell( Nancy) Hall; seven grandchildren: Shanna( JP) Taylor, Deanna( Mitch) Williams, Andrea( Tommy) Crawford, Amy Tucker, Niki Weiblen, Lee(Brittany)Hall, and Tara Hall; great grandchildren: Tristan Hoover, Landyn Hoover, Trippe Taylor, Haley Williams, Aubry Williams, Bailey Crawford, Logan Mcfarland, Kloe Weiblen, McKenzie Hall, and Dylan Hall.

A visitation will be from 5-7pmThursday, June 30, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10 am Friday July 1, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Martin and Danny Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Terry Hall, Brandy Scott, Scotty Stevens, Stanley Gulley, Leland Wileman, and Steve Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will include: Richard Walker, Sonny Hampton, Tommy Crawford, James Griffin, Roy Adamson, Jerry Baker, and Jerry Barnes.
