Robert "Bob" Lester Kilpatrick, 87, died Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City, AR.
Born in Marianna, Robert lived many years in West Memphis. There he owned and operated the Waverly Airport, Flight School and Air Charter Service. He later owned and operated Kilpatrick Transmission Service in Jonesboro and Ash Flat until his retirement in 2014. He was known by most folks as "Bob", "Uncle Bob", and "Granddaddy".
Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran and was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Ruth McLean Kilpatrick; wife Martha Kilpatrick; brothers Bud Kilpatrick and William Earl Kilpatrick; sisters Lucille Kilpatrick and Ollie Mae Hudgings; son-in-law Butch Blevins; and granddaughter Cammie Daryl Blevins;
Survivors include 2 daughters and son-in-law: Susan Blevins of Jonesboro and Sharon and Rich Flowers of Atlanta; son Wayne Kilpatrick of Jonesboro; brother Mac Kilpatrick of Erie, Colorado;
5 grandchildren: Callie Bakker (Marshal), Cassie Blevins, Shad Flowers, Hunter Flowers and Eli Flowers; and 4 great-grandchildren: Dylan Bakker, Clayton Bakker, Shelby Bakker and Charlotte Bakker; and many nieces and nephews.
Because of the limitations placed on gatherings due to the Covid-19 virus, the memorial service for Robert will be postponed. Service time and placed will be announced at a future date.
