Robert Edwin Harder Sr.

Robert Edwin Harder Sr., 83, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He had lived in Jonesboro for the past six years, moving here from Bartlett, Tennessee. Robert was a member of the Greensboro Road Church of Christ. He served his country for ten years in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Vicki Barber and Patricia Harder.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Laura, of the home; son, Robert E. Harder Jr (Melissa) of Byhalia, Mississippi; daughters, Jan Hopkins; Carole Harder both of Jonesboro; brothers, Shelby Harder of Lakeland, Tennessee; Ronnie Harder of Bartlett, Tennessee; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, November 30, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Joe Kee officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with Robert Harder Jr., Gary Barber, Shelby Harder, Jacob Harder, Patrick Barber, and Hunter Barber serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
