Robert Douglas

Robert Douglas, 75, a life-time resident of Bono, passed from this life on Sunday, June 14, 2020. He was born to Walter and Roxie Douglas on September 21, 1944, in Sedgwick.  He was a member of the Bono Church of Christ.  Rob retired from Sears after 35 years, as a service technician.  He currently has worked for the Inboden Brothers for the past 19 years.  He had a love for children and enjoyed spending time with family at Lake Norfork.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 4 sisters and his granddaughter, Whitney Blake Rogers.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Douglas, of the home; daughter, Sandy Rogers; sister, Jeannie Philps of Salem, Arkansas; grandchildren, J.P. Rogers, Lauren Wall; great grandchildren, Memphis Jack Rogers, Charlee Wall and Chandler Wall.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Richard Akins and Gary Cremeens officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery with James Dorton, Steve Dorton, Jeff Douglas, Farley Douglas, Butch Dobbs, Paul Meurer, Cliff Rose and Clint Harrison serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Tate, Kenny Tolbert, Ronnie Pilgrim, Rick McDaniel, Kim Inboden, Barry Keith Vaughn, Jack Meurer and Larry Douglas. Visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.   Masks must be worn inside the facility and COVID 19 precautions will be exercised.
