Robert Bryant "R.B." Cole, Jr.

Robert Bryant “R.B.” Cole, Jr., 68, of Jonesboro stepped into Heaven and received his complete healing on December 21, 2012. He was born in Jonesboro and had lived here his entire life. R.B. was a carpenter by trade and a master craftsman. His work was very meticulous and precise. He loved his work. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. R.B. was an active member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a host and a member of the Property Committee.

He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Brenda Cole of Jonesboro; his children, Dr. Julie (Jason) Wilkie of Siloam Springs, Russell Cole, Janie Cole, both of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Desireé Cole, Ryan Cole, Jacob Cole, Duncan Wilkie, Quinton Wilkie, Lillian Wilkie; and his brothers and sisters, Carl (Ethel) Cole, Jonesboro, Michael (Lydia) Cole, Florida, Patricia (Aubrey) Sumpter, and Melba Cole of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bryant & Mary Jane Johnson Cole and a brother, Patrick Cole.

Graveside services will be Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Philadelphia Cemetery with Mike Martin and John Turner officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Liles, Olan Gann, Jimmy Walker, Buddy Johnston, Joe Little, and Marcus McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are Sheldon Adamson, Jim Lackey, David Adams, Carroll Carr, Dennis Hill, Ray Wood, Mike West, Eddie LaPiro, David LaPiro, Gene McMorries, Billy Maddox, Jim Osment, and David West.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
