Robert Michael Bruce, 71, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Michael was born in Batesville, Arkansas on March 1, 1947, to the late Robert and Winona Durfee Bruce. Michael moved to Jonesboro in 1990 from Walnut Ridge. He worked for the Farm Service Agency serving as the Poinsett County Executive Director for 30 + years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Michael was a 1965 Black Rock High School graduate and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Survived by his wife, Diann Bruce of the home.
Sons, Seth Bruce (Melissa) of Byhalia, Mississippi and Brian Huff of Franklin, Tennessee.

Daughter, Kim Huff Richey (Chris) of College Grove, Tennessee.
Brother, Wally Bruce of Katy, Texas.
Two nephews, Adam and Andrew Bruce..

5 grandchildren, Emma Richey, Eric Richey, Brendan Huff, Connor Huff and Laura Bruce.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Herschel Richardson officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018,in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
