Robert Alexander Brown

Robert (Rob) Alexander Brown, 50 years old, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away peacefully and into the arms of Jesus, on August 22, 2023, at his home. Rob was born on February 27, 1973, in Kennett, MO.

Rob’s unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and selfless dedication to caring for his parents have left an indelible mark on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rob grew up in a loving Christian home, where he learned the values of faith, love, and service. His deep connection with God blossomed from an early age, guiding him towards a life dedicated to God and caring for others.

As a “Preacher’s Kid”, Rob served in the music ministry with an uncanny ability to play any instrument and any song just by listening to it once. Rob was also called into the ministry. He preached God’s word from the heart and prayed for many in need.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reverend Don Brown, and his brother, Bill Hawkins, and a niece, Danielle Sian.

He is survived by his mother, Alma Brown, his brother Dennis Hawkins (Patti) and his sister Beki Harmon (Jim), many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on August 25th, 2023, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR, starting at 2:30pm, with visitation prior at 1:30pm. Burial will take place at Rosedale Valley Memorial Gardens in Nixa, MO on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Rob will be laid to rest next to his brother Bill.

The service will be officiated by Bishop Ron Webb, and Rob’s nephew, Kristopher Harmon.
