Robert “Bob” Wiseman, 84, of Brookland, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital. He had lived in Jonesboro for over 58 years. He was born in Dexter, Missouri on September 28, 1940, to Ervin and Thelma Wiseman. Bob was a faithful member and deacon at Prospect Baptist Church. He placed God first in his life, followed by his wife, kids and grands. Being outdoors was a favorite pastime, and in his younger days, he loved to fish. In the later years, he didn’t catch fish as much, but he never lost his love of eating fish. He enjoyed tinkering in the yard and could create, build or weld anything. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty, of the home; daughters, Tammy Ewing and husband Ronnie of Paragould; Shelia Meredith and husband Tracy of Jonesboro; brothers, Harold Wiseman of Jonesboro; Jim Wiseman of Paragould; sister, Carol McIntire of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Baylee, Kylie, and Cody; and two great grandchildren, Tripp and Emmy.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 PM, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Pine Log Cemetery Pavilion with Mike Book officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Billie Wiseman, Merle Wiseman, Frank Wiseman, Ric Metcalf, George Miller, and Addison Book. Honorary pallbearers are the Adult 1 Sunday School Class.
