Robert “Bob” Thurmon, 59, of Trumann, died Monday at his home. He was born in Memphis and had lived in Trumann since 2004. He was a retired surveyor with the City of Memphis who loved playing disc golf. He loved people, but especially loved animals. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 7 years, Rosa Thurmon, of the home; a son, Christopher (Sandy) Caldwell, Batesville; a brother, Kirby Thurmon, Memphis; a loving family member, Miss Poe, Memphis; and many friends, especially Wayne Halsey and Lester Parker, both of Trumann. Bob is also survived by his precious rescued pets, Sister, Rocky, Buddy, Sissy, Dusty, KC, DJ, and Alley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Donna Kirk Thurmon.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
