Robert Rosswag “Bob” Ryan, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Saturday evening at his home of natural causes.
Born in St. Louis, Mr. Ryan lived in Paragould, Arkansas and Corning, Arkansas before moving to Jonesboro 23 years ago. He was a retired Tool and Die Design Engineer and worked several years for St. Louis Die Casting and Emerson Electric.
Bob was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II, serving in the South Pacific with the Seabees. He was a graduate of Rankin Institute of St. Louis and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Respect Our Neighborhood and was a life member of the PTA.
Survivors include:
His wife of 35 years: Audrey V. Ryan of Paragould;
3 Sons and their wives: Michael and Teresa Ryan of Corning,
Robert and Angelia Ryan of Paragould, and
Eric Ryan of Paragould;
11 Grandchildren: Patrick Ryan, Matthew Ryan, Jesse Woodard, Clay Woodard,
Jason Tidwell, Jill Tidwell, Audrey Ryan Ward, Rylee Ryan, Daniel Eaton,
Kelly Gladdish, and Jacob Ryan;
2 Great Grandchildren: Zachary Parrish and Allison Ryan; and
6 Step Great Grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
