Robert “Bob” Abar Rahrle, 65 of Jonesboro, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at NEA Baptist Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1972. Bob was an elder at Southwest Church of Christ. He taught math, science and was the I.T. director for 38 years at Brookland Schools. Bob was a tour guide at Blanchard Spring Caverns for over 30 years. He was also a volunteer at the Foundation of Arts performing in many plays and musicals. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lin Rahrle, of the home; sister, Maureen Rahrle of Denver, Colorado; son, Chris Bloodworth (Selena) of Jonesboro; daughter, Hilary Bloodworth of Brookland; grandchildren, Bret Bloodworth, Kasen Bloodworth, Portland Bloodworth, and Priscilla Bloodworth.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at Southwest Church of Christ with Jimmy Adcox officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday at Southwest Church of Christ.
