Rita Fera Vaught

July 9, 1932 — January 30, 2021

Rita Fera Vaught, 88 of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday January 30, 2021 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House with her family by her side.  She was born in Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Canada July 9, 1932 to Leonard and Maria Carolei Fera.  Rita lived in Forrest City and Batesville before coming to Jonesboro.  In childhood, Rita loved to dance and ice skate. She was a devout Catholic and her family was extremely important to her.  She loved cooking Italian meals for them.  Rita loved playing cards with her friends Lorene, Judy and Mary Ruth, whom she thought of as family. Rita is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Edward Vaught in 2013, daughter, Debbie DiGaetano in 2018 and 2 brothers, Joe & Johnny.

Survivors include son, Jim (Sharon) Vaught of Batesville; daughter, Becky (Greg) Hubbard of Little Rock; son-in-law, Frank DiGaetano; brother, Sam (Adrienne) Fera and sister, Rosalie Marinucci, all from Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Canada.  5 grandchildren, Andy, Maria, and Tommy DiGaetano, Luke and Reed Hubbard.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM with Rosary starting at 11:00 AM and Mass of Christian  Burial starting at 11:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Alphonse officiating.  Burial will be 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
